Dennis Kowalik Tribute
The Spencer Brook Township Veteranโs/Dennis Kowalik Tribute was officially dedicated on June 14, 2025. There were 52 veterans listed on the board for the dedication ceremony.
The ceremony was led by Brad Brown, Spencer Brook Township Board Chairman. Isanti VFS Post 2735 presented the colors which was followed by the Pledge of Allegiance.
Isanti VfW Post 2735 Chaplain Bill Bottema gave the opening prayer followed by reading of names of Donors by Myla Tolmie, Dep. Clerk. Guest speakers were Jennifer Jenkins,
Dennis Kowalik, Kamille Hammers representing Home Depot and Adam Fussy representing Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon. The unveiling of the Veterans Tribute Board was
completed by Dennis Kowalik and Myla Tolmie after which was the reading of the veteran names. Closing prayer was from Jannelle Meade, Dessert Storm Veteran/US Navy and
closing by Brad Brown. After the dedication ceremony a free lunch was provided by Spencer Brook Township to all who attended.
The Spencer Brook Methodist Church and Spencer Brook Historic School House were open for viewing and displays were also available from: Isanti County Beyond the Yellow Ribbon,
Fire and Rescue, VFW Post 2735, County Sheriff and the MN. Warrior Hockey Program.
Special thank you to all the donors who made this project possible and those are listed on the donor board in the tribute area โ Home Depot Foundation and volunteers
who donated materials and labor, Jellyfish Graphics, who donated the Veterans Tribute name board and name tags, Minuteman Press for donating the programs,
Isanti Fire and Rescue for donating the bouncy house and fire truck displays, Isanti VFW Post 2735 for donating the flags in the tribute area and the many who donated funds
towards the building of this project. Future plans for the tribute area will include a fence surrounding the area and more
names will be added to the tribute board as they are received.
All veterans and/or their family received a veteran pin and American flags were available for free.
This Veteran Tribute area is free to any veteran who is currently residing in Spencer Brook Township or resided in Spencer Brook Township at the time of their service.

๐ช Purpose: The area will serve as a tribute to veterans, recognizing their service and sacrifice.
๐ Honor Board: Names of eligible veterans will be included on a commemorative honor board, which is a central feature of the project.
๐ฐ No Cost to Families: Families of veterans can have their loved ones' names added at no cost, though donations to support the project are welcomed.
